What the brand is

Miyami Enterprises dates to 1997 and the export of cowrie shells to India and Pakistan. Miyami Traders, established 1998, is its fast-moving consumer goods arm — fine food and general consumer goods, wholesale and retail, with outlets in Malé, Hulhumalé and H.Dh. Kulhudhuffushi. The group has since diversified into construction (Miyami Construction, 2016) and hospitality (Ayala Hotels Maldives, Ithaa Holidays).

What we found

The structural finding is the group itself: a parent, a trading brand, a construction company, a hotel company and two Gulhi consumer brands — and whether they read as one family or as unrelated businesses that happen to share an owner. The Miyami parent and Miyami Traders share a mark; the Ayala brands use an entirely separate identity. Whether that is deliberate architecture or accident is the first question. Domain. miyamitraders.com resolves to a domain-parking lander. The trading brand's own name is not on a site the group controls; its logo is served from the parent's site.
